Fosse Shopping Park awarded safe parking accreditation

16 Dec 2014

This year’s award means the Park has retained the coveted Safer Parking Scheme Park Mark® for the past eight years in succession.  The accreditation for Fosse Park means that all retail parks within The Crown Estate’s directly managed regional retail portfolio hold the award.

Jo Francis, Head of Retail Property Management at The Crown Estate said: Receiving the Park Mark for the eighth year is a great endorsement of the safe, accessible environment Fosse Park provides for its visitors. With our purchase of Fosse Park now complete, we will be looking to build on its success, further improving the shopping experience and continuing to enhance its reputation as one of the UK’s best out of town retail destinations.”

Fosse Park has two car parks, one based on the North side of the park and the other on the South side with some 2,500 free car parking spaces for customers.

Fosse Park sits on a 37 acre site located directly off junction 21 of the M1 South of Leicester. The Crown Estate, in partnership with Gingko Tree Investment Ltd, completed the purchase of the shopping park in August 2014. Fosse Park now forms part of The Crown Estate’s leading regional retail portfolio which includes 17 shopping parks across the UK, as well as three shopping centres and two regional leisure schemes.

Michael Gardner, Park Mark® Scheme Area Manager, said: “I am delighted that Fosse Shopping Park has achieved the Park Mark award again  It shows the commitment to achieving high standards and caring about their customers’ experiences.”
